Small German Beer Stein Reinhold Merkelbach RM 3945 1/4 Litre Fine Condition. I was intrigued by it’s coloring and it appears the brown color is not a glaze but the color of the clay due to the base being brown also much like a Terra Sigillata type stein. I have tried locating an example of this color in my Beer Stein Books as well as copies of Ron Fox’s auction catalogs that I have but cannot find a example.
